State Representative
Representing Chittenden County's 10th district for a second term
For the past three years, I have served on the Government Operations and Military Affairs Committee that oversees a broad array of issues, from elections law, municipal charter changes, ethics for state and local governments, open meeting law, regulation of substances, state government structure, operations of the judiciary system, oversight of law enforcement policies, and others.
In serving in this capacity, I helped develop legislation that has expanded access to professions for folks in Vermont and make progress addressing our workforce challenges; worked with administration officials, organizations and municipalities to find better ways to get state money out the door to the places that put it to good use serving Vermonters; drafted resolutions to recognize the contributions of the Rotary organization throughout the state; brought a public health lens to policy-making; and elevated the concerns and needs of our city and our district regarding changes to land use law and education.
What drives me to serve in this role is a desire to expand economic opportunities for all Vermonters, to make it easier for Vermonters to enjoy healthy lives, and to increase safety and security. In my second term, I am especially focused on accountability, affordability, and clarity. Follow my news tab for updates on my efforts and more insight into the philosophy and values that underlie my decision-making. Please be in touch with any questions, suggestions, and problems and I will do my best to help you in whatever way I can.
There are many challenges ahead and I look forward to working with partners, leaders, and neighbors to make sure Vermonters and South Burlingtonians can be free to pursue what brings them joy.
Thanks to the voters of South Burlington's Chittenden-10 district for re-electing me to serve as your representative.
